Working with couples and anyone for that matter has made me realise that sleep is a growing concern for a lot of people. In fact statistics show about 40% of Australians have inadequate sleep or find it difficult getting to sleep. Then 15% have Chronic Insomnia. Quite alarming, because this can affect your relationships, your work performance, driving a car and so much more. 

I actually began this journey of discovery when I was young, having been diagnosed with ADHD. I experienced extreme sleep walking and vivid dreaming. This has always been a fascinating topic that I needed to find out more about. 

It is estimated that up to 70% of children with ADHD have some form of sleep disruption. And nearly 50% of these children experience sleep walking.

 

Sleep is often a secondary consideration in our health, yet it’s importance is up there with air and water. I know very well it is not a surface issue.

 Something to fix with routines or discipline.

But when the mind remains active at night – Overthinking, anxiety, rehashing ideas, anticipation – it usually reflects something deeper.

A pattern that hasn’t yet settled.

It’s all about the patterns we have set in place and the emotional dynamics behind them that has naturally led me into sleep coaching.

I understand you have an inquisitive mind and want to delve deep into who you are. I’m here to help you to get in touch with yourself.

I am a Hypnotherapist and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Timeline Therapy®. In my work I focus on sleep and personal growth.

In NLP, Neuro relates to the nervous system and the mind. Linguistic is language, which also includes body language and facial expressions. Our programming develops over time through past experiences. For example, what people have told us can influence what we choose to believe about ourselves.

Every thought we have affects every cell in the body. Did you know that the brain and the heart share many of the same receptor sites and the same DNA? NLP and Hypnotherapy is a way to tap into the unconscious mind, to find our inner truth. To put it simply, we can change our thoughts to have different outcomes in our wellbeing. It is about finding strategies to model self-excellence.

My logo shows the third eye in the centre, which symbolises all-knowing and wisdom. 

The pentagram represents the five elements of the human body:

  • Earth (Matter)
  • Air (Breath)
  • Fire (Energy)
  • Water (Fluids)
  • Aether (the Psyche or Soul)
It also incorporates the five senses:

  • Visual (Sight)
  • Auditory (Sound)
  • Kinaesthetic (Touch)
  • Olfactory (Smell)
  • Gustatory (Taste)

An understanding of these primary senses underpins the foundation of NLP work and how we predominantly interpret information is in one of these five ways.
The pentagram has long been associated with Venus, the Goddess of Love, Beauty, Femininity and Harmony.
